The Mt. Pleasant school board will look at loosening up its strict policy against using mobile and wireless devices during the school day at Mt. Pleasant High School. “We're fighting a losing battle,” said high school Principal Jennifer Verleger. “Right now, it's not a respectful situation.” The current school board policy calls for students to turn their phones and mobile devices off from the time they step on school grounds until they leave at the end of the day. But administrators admit that it's a policy that's difficult, if not impossible to enforce.
