Soaring Eagle RV Park cancels grand opening ceremony in respect for Carnel Chamberlain’s family
The Soaring Eagle Hideaway RV Park cancelled the grand opening ceremony that was scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday to pay respect to the family of 4-year-old Carnel Chamberlain. The ribbon-cutting was cancelled Friday morning. A new date has not been determined, according to marketing manager Jennifer Jones. "On behalf of the staff at the Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel, Waabooz Run Golf Course, the Green Suites and the Soaring Eagle Hideaway RV Park, we wish to extend our condolences to Carnel's family and friends," Jones said in a press release. Carnel Chamberlain's family said his body was found under the porch of his home Thursday night, one week after his mother reported him missing.
