Musician returns home to Shepherd to perform benefit concert
Musician Anna Mae Mitchell will be celebrating a homecoming with the community next week. On Tuesday evening, Mitchell and her musical partner, G. Pat Harris, will present a concert at the Performing Arts Center at Shepherd High School. The performance is a benefit concert for the Shepherd school district’s performing arts. Mitchell, the daughter of Kevin and Angela Mitchell, graduated from Shepherd in 2002 and from Central Michigan University in 2007. Harris attended high school in Bay City and also graduated from CMU. Now based in Austin, Texas, Mitchell and Harris are working on their musical careers. Their CD “Traveling by Midnight” was released in November.
