Reed City Michigan State Police post to consolidate with Mount Pleasant in October

via CM-Life

On Oct.16 the Michigan State Police post in Reed City will consolidate with the MSP post in Mount Pleasant as a result of budget cuts. There has been a $17.7 million reduction in the state police budget for the 2012 fiscal year. By combining the posts it will help cut the budget without having to lay-off a single trooper, said Lt. Christopher Stolicker, commander of the Mount Pleasant post. “With these changes there will still be enough troopers on the road,” Stolicker said. “We will now be responsible for four counties; Isabella, Clare, Osceola and Mecosta.”
