The Central Michigan University College of Medicine on Wednesday took another step in becoming a full medical school. University officials announced the Liaison Committee on Medical Education granted preliminary accreditation to the College of Medicine, the third step in five. The committee is the national accrediting authority for medical program. “This is a significant milestone as we strive to create an innovative and highly successful program to help fill imminent needs for physicians and medical education opportunities in our state,” said President George E. Ross in a statement.
