Movie fans love to sit back and watch a good film. They will have plenty to choose from this year at the annual Central Michigan International Film Festival in Mt. Pleasant. The festival runs March 28 to April 1, with a total of 17 films shown at several locations in Mt. Pleasant. It is presented by the CMU School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and the CMU Film Society. Most of the films will be shown twice, giving movie-goers some options as to when to see them. A highlight this year is the premiere of the documentary “Horse and Rider: A Journey Towards Freedom,” a film that tells the story of two survivors of the child sex trade in India. CMU graduate Rodney Green was assistant director for the film, which was shot in India in 2011.
