Jory Melancon's career-high 25 points helps lead Mount Pleasant past Flint Southwestern, 60-37

Jory Melancon scored a career-high 25 points to help lead Mount Pleasant to a 60-37 victory Tuesday over Flint Southwestern. Jordan Wilson and Aaron Leasher each added nine points for the Oilers, who led 30-15 at halftime. "It was a good win for us," Mount Pleasant coach Sam Taylor said. "I'm very happy with how we defended. They are a good team. I was ecstatic with how we guarded tonight." Melancon, a 6-foot-4 post player, had an efficient night. "Tonight, he played within himself," Taylor said. "He only missed I think two shots the whole night. He had a couple of offensive put-backs."
